Mental Health Counseling

Counseling and psychotherapy service consists of a series of time-limited, structured, face-to-face sessions that work toward attaining mutually-defined goals that are identified in the Individualized Service Plan (ISP). When the person served is a child or adolescent, the face-to-face interaction may also include family members and/or parent, guardian, and significant others when the intended outcome is improved functioning of the child or adolescent, and when such interventions are part of the ISP.

The Center embraces and promotes a “recovery model” of service delivery that is consistent with the best practice models adopted by the Ohio Department of Mental Health, the Ohio Department of Drug and Alcohol Addiction Services and the Tri-County Board of Recovery and Mental Health Services. The overall focus of The Center’s service delivery system is to assist the recovering individual in attaining reasonable personal lifetime goals and enhanced life experiences.
